This sonic meal invites the audience to amplify its own mouth noises. Here, we take pleasure in listening to what we eat! These noises create a sweet cacophony. They are amplified, mixed and re-mixed.
This human and sound experience shifts and questions each individual’s relationship to a meal. The show focuses on daily and bodily noises (mouth noises) induced by meal. Participatory, it proposes a strong interaction between the audience and the performers. During this time of socialization, they come as a team to interrogate the attitudes and the way we act together. It also suggests a reflection on contemporary diet.
This sonic feast is a “plasticine” concept. Light, it has the ability to adapt itself to every new place it goes. Each time, a unique chewing melody is created.
The new version of this banquet (October 2019 in MidiMinuitPoésie#19, Nantes, France) targets more precisely tapas sound and taste qualities. It offers to the audience a time of listening and pleasure about their own body –an amplified, fun and scrumptious meal.
