“The Red Hammer” Tales from a grandmother, George SAND, scenographical sketches

Written in July 1875 by George Sand for her granddaughters, the tale of the Red Hammer tells a cycle. It is about the transformation of a space in movement, evolving around the imagery of a stone, originally a monolithic stone.

These sketches -taken from my scenographic research on this tale, structure the floating space of the Laboratoire Tararin. This show is a first stone in my research on human scale scenography. It is inspired by Calder’s “circus” and the creation of immersive and sensory spaces.
